Nellie McClellan

Georgianna’s fourth child was Nellie G. “Nell” McClellan. She was born in Ward 1-3 in Denison, Iowa, in 1870. Here is the breakdown of her family tree. Not much is known about Nellie and her childhood and what came from her life. However, the cool thing about her family tree is that the age of photography was more black and white this age. Here are some of the faces compared to their names through Mrs. McClellan-Heffelfinger tree below. Anna and Kitty both married, and had a few children, but they didn’t reach the 21st century like Jo-Ann Heffelfinger did. I could not find a picture of Anna anywhere on my searches.

Interesting side note about James Scott Grimes. His brother was Lt. Colonel George Henry Grimes and he served in three service branches of three wars. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
