Dallas Schwarzenbach

Jesse Charles Schwarzenbach married Georgia Wade McClellan in March 1911. They would move to Carroll, Iowa in 1914. Prior to their move, Dallas Virginia Schwarzenbach was born.

Charles Wade “Doc” Raridon was born in Carroll, Iowa, in December 1932. He was a member of the Boy Scouts, and helped often at his grandparents laundromat. He would then graduate from Carroll High School in 1951, and lettered in wrestling, football, and track. He attended college at Iowa State University for electrical engineering, but transferred to University of Iowa and majored in music. He was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

Charles would met his future wife Rosemary Jenkins at a rotary dinner and married in September 1954. He accepted a position at Youngstown State University in 1963 and resided here until 2013. They continued to live in Ohio after teaching. They would have three children: his daughter Geri, Timothy, and Michael. Michael passed away in 2019, but the other two children are still alive with their own families as of May 2025. Charles Raridon passed during COVID in 2021, while his beloved Rosemary Raridon passed away about three years later in October 2024 due to a complication to a fall.

Here is where the story may get even more perfect with history. I’m still doing some research on the Raridon side of the family. There is a chance that one of the Raridon family descendants played at Notre Dame. The relating part to the Civil War is that Father Corby’s monument is on the battle of Gettysburg and that he was the third president of Notre Dame.

Barbara Louise Raridon would marry Anton Mueller in September 1955. They were the proud parents of two sons, but I couldn’t find their names. Not much is known about Barbara and her husband. Anton would serve as a Corporal in the United States Army within the Korean War. Anton would pass away in 2000. They are both buried in Denison, Iowa.

Delbert Ray Raridon was born in Iowa. Little is known about him as well. He would marry Alpha Jo Morrison in June 1962 in Sacramento, California. He was also served for the United States military within the Air Force.

Judith never married, but served her country within the U.S Navy and obtained rank of Master Chief. After retiring from the military in 1988, she worked as a librarian in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Donald “Skip” Kenneth Raridon attended the United States Postal Academy where he met his wife Nancy. He married Nancy Jensen in 1964 and they settled down. They had three daughters, Tamara, Holly, and Jill. All three daughters are married with children, however, no sons in their family. The family tree would end with Skip. They moved to Bennington, Nebraska, in 2013.

Donald passed in February 2024. His wife, Nancy, is still enjoying the grandchildren of her three daughters and awaits to see her husband again.
