Nellie was the second child of Jim and Ala Mary. She was born in Cedar Rapids, Nebraska, near the location of where her parents married in Boone.
Even though she never married, she was very much helpful with her younger brothers and sisters. She lived in Cedar Rapids growing up, lived in Saskatchewan, Canada and moved back to Iowa. She would not have children during her lifetime, and she would pass away in January 1956. Below is a picture of Nellie and her father, Jim.
Nellie is buried with her mother and father within the Oakland Cemetery in Denison, Iowa.
