A brief background before coming to this family tree. Thomas Stonewall Jackson had a daughter named Julia Thomas Jackson that was born in 1863 and died in 1889. She would marry her husband William Christian in 1885. They would have two children, with one being a daughter named Julia Jackson Christian, which is shown below in the family tree.
Julia would have three sons and three daughters in total, but only the last five children would have a family and living past childhood. Again, this is only a brief timeline of their family trees, and I may come back down the road to dive into an in-depth look each child. The first thing to notice is that she lived to be 104 years old. She outlived her husband by over 30 years. All of her children lived into the 21st century except for her first which died in childbirth, and her second son.
- Anna Jackson Preston would have four children with Emil Nathaniel Shaffner, with having 10 grand-children and 3 great-grand-children.
- Elizabeth Cortlandt Preston would marry in 1937 to John Spach Creech. They would have four children, which produced 9 grand-children.
- Julia Jackson Christian Preston (highlighted below) married in March 1941. Sher and her husband James B. McAfee would have two sons and a daughter. They would have in total seven grand-children and five great-grand-children.
- Lt. Col. Edmund Randolph Preston, Jr. would marry in 1947 in Frankfurt, Germany, to Nelle Mae Smith. They would have four children together.
- Thomas Jonathon Jackson Preston is the great-grandson of Stonewall Jackson. He is buried within the family plot in Lexington, Virginia.
