Georgia Wade McClellan and John Lewis McClellan were still in Gettysburg when they had their second child. It was a baby girl. With the recent developments of Georgia’s sister dying a few years prior in the battle of Gettysburg, they both decided to name their first daughter after her sister. They would move to Denison, Iowa in 1866, and she would grow up in town.
Not much is known about Ms. Jennie Wade McClellan. The only knowledge and research that I could find was that she was married three times, but no children. Usually it would be the family tree program, but it’s hard to express three marriages, so I’ll list them instead.
Jennie Wade McClellan Dewolf Seeman Cook is her full name and is buried at Oskaloosa Friends Cemetery in Iowa.
