Georgia and John bring their first two children Kenneth and Jennie westward with the new construction of the railroad. They boarded the train in Gettysburg and traveled by rail through Pittsburgh and Chicago before arriving in western Iowa. As they made a home in Denison, Iowa, their family expanded. Here is the family below in the family tree.

On the author’s face-book page for the McClellan family, the family tree is broken down person to person. However, I’m going to do the same here as well and make it slightly easier.
Lewis Kenneth McClellan was born in Gettysburg on June 26th. He probably doesn’t remember anything about the battle or the move to Iowa. Not much is known about Lewis. His wife, Clarissa, was originally from Simcoe County, Ontario, which is north of Toronto.

Not much is known about this portion of the family tree for Lewis Kenneth McClellan. He would always be known as the child that was born prior to the battle of Gettysburg and that his aunt was Jennie Wade. His sons would both marry and have children of their own. New information about their sons have made this even more of a “wow” factor, so will be talking about them soon.
