Spirits at the Cashtown Inn

Even though the Cashtown Inn was built prior to the Civil War, spirits still linger on the grounds to the present day. Paranormal groups, previous owners, and visitors that travel to south-central Pennsylvania to a small town that was thrown into the Civil War all claim that “something” still is here. What though is here though? Paranormal investigators, including myself, often feel a sense of chill or seeing something out of the corner of your eye around corners, or in the woods, or hearing something that isn’t really there. Pictures that people have taken through the years often show obs. Some have taken full-blown apparitions, and the stories are outrageous similar to others with the same story. Let’s explore the paranormal side of the Cashtown Inn.

The author of this page has not stayed the night at the Cashtown Inn. However, newly friends of mine that have made their lives exploring the paranormal and bringing the stories and words to life allowed me to explore with them. The founders of “Soul Seekers Supernatural” Allan O’Hanlon and Chris Kenyon know the paranormal and know how to bring their stories to life. After multiple sessions of them doings in Gettysburg, they noticed I knew the history and would help during live events through instant messenger helping people understand. They asked if I could accompany them to the Cashtown Inn and bring my history knowledge and their spirit techniques and explore together. I was all for it. Background of the photos and audio, no one was in the rooms where you’ll see things.

Here are some of the audio, video, flashlight and catball play, and pictures from July 2022. This audio was prior to the investigation in the dining room. It’s just a long breath that was heard on an audio recorder.

July 2022 – Obs outside the Cashtown Inn – Seen by the Naked Eye

Other paranormal historical pictures have been seen throughout the ages. Here are some experiences of what people have witnessed. Paranormal expects come from across the United States and view flashlights turning on and off to direct questions. Shadows can be seen to the naked eye and moving without anyone moving in the room. Some shadows are seen through live video and move without anyone present in the room. The theory goes that spirits can interact with objects and depending on their energy, spirits can move things. Alan and Chris have seen catballs turn on and off and move across the floor. They have also seen balloons move from one room to another, along with candles being blown out.

Other paranormal groups use thermal devices and see “stick figures” moving on their screens of potential spirits moving around. Some pictures show a direct paranormal correspondence to the living and the other side. Sometimes you can see “through” an image and see what’s behind it through him. This picture below has not been altered in anyway, but can you explain it?
