The family tree that extends into the 21st century all begins here. Maria and Samuel would have two daughters, one being Mary Ann Filby. Thaddeus was born on Halloween in 1830. Prior to the civil war, he was a carpenter around town before marrying his wife, Harriet. He married his wife, Harriet, and welcomed a daughter in 1860 named Clara. Not a good thing to start a marriage with, but Thaddeus was incarcerated and thrown into the Adams County Jail after assault and battery chargers were found guilty in January 1862 against his wife. He was in jail for 3 months.

Thaddeus would enlist into the Union Cavalry in February 1864 in Chambersburg. He would be a private within the 21st Pennsylvania infantry, company M. He would be wounded in Petersburg, Virginia, in June 1864. He was discharged from active service in December 1864, and passed away in March 1865.
Margaret never got married, and died at an early age. Her first burial was at the cemetery on East High Street behind the German Reform Church. However, that cemetery was being destroyed, so her grave was moved to Evergreen Cemetery, but it was moved with the other graves of the church. Her grave is not with sister and brother. Sadly, her sister and brother are right next to Jennie Wade.
Thaddeus and his wife Harriet would have a daughter named Clara. Clara would be a cousin of Jennie Wade, and was married twice. Her first marriage was to Charles Nicolas Hauer and William W. Myers. Clara would pass away in 1931, and is buried with William in Frederick Maryland at the Mount Olivet Cemetery.
